Credit Line Extension
Add a few credit days to a client for a short time. When that time ends, the previous number of days comes back.
What You Can Do
- Extend the credit days without changing the credit limit or the cutoff type.
- Apply the change yourself. It does not wait for a second approval.
- See the extension and the later restore in the credit history and in the company log.
- Use the action only while the feature is enabled for your role, the client already has credit days, and this month's limit is not used up.
Getting There
- Open the client.
- Open the payments tab.
- Choose Configurar crédito.
Extender línea is on the same row as Borrar and Crear Solicitud.
You need the permission extend-credit-line. If the feature is off, or the client has no credit days, the button stays hidden.
Common Tasks
Extend the line
- Open Configurar crédito.
- Choose Extender línea.
- Read the confirmation. It names how many days will be added and says the line returns to the previous days when they expire.
- Choose Aceptar.
The days update immediately and the modal closes. Cancel does not change the line.
The payments tab then shows a full-width notice: the line was extended from one number of days to another, and the date it returns. Click it to see the days added and when, and the days the line returns to and when. The history row for that change shows an up arrow next to the days. Hovering the arrow repeats the return date and the days it returns to. In the company clock log it appears as Extensión de línea de crédito.
Read a disabled button
The button stays visible and cannot be clicked when:
- this client already has an extension that has not expired, or
- this client already used the allowed number of extensions for the current month.
Rolled-back extensions still count for the month. The hover text says which of the two applies. The count uses the UTC month.
After it expires
An automatic job restores the previous days when they still match the extended value. That history row shows an undo icon next to the days, and the company log shows Restauración de extensión.
If someone changed the days before the extension expired, the job does not overwrite that change. There is no restore icon and no restore log for that case.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this change the credit amount or the cutoff?
No. Only the days change. To lower the amount or the days through approval, use Credit line decrement. To raise the limit or change the cutoff, use Crear Solicitud.
Who approves the extension?
The operator who confirms it. The history row is created already approved. The restore is recorded by the system.
Why can I not extend again after the extra days already ended?
The month still counts that extension. A new one is available when the next UTC month starts, and only if no extension is still active.
Where do the number of days and the monthly cap come from?
They are configuration of the feature, not something the modal asks you to type. The confirmation shows the number of days that will be applied.
